Today was Leah's 6 month appointment. She had shots and cried but not as badly as other times. It was good to talk to the Doctor about Leah's progress as she had changed so much from her last appointment.
In March when we were there for Leah's 4 mth appt Leah just layed on the table...today, she rolled around and grabbed the paper on the table and wouldn't stop playing with it. Hannah was busy too. I think it just got harder to take both to the doctor's office at the same time.
Leah's details:
- Height: 26" (about 75% = which just means that there is about 25% who are taller than her but she is taller than 75% of babies her age!)
- Weight: 15lbs, 6oz (NOW LEAH IS AVERAGE IN WEIGHT! FIRST TIME EVER!) Remember that Hannah was off the charts starting at 2 weeks old!
- Her head is not flat at all anymore so the Dr was happy about that!
- Dr. Hanlon said to stop swaddling her now...it's become a comfort to her to fall asleep so we'll see how this goes.
- Leah is eating cereal, fruit, veggies, and the Dr said we could try pureed meats now.
- Leah is sitting up on her own for longer periods and can play on the floor next to Hannah- PTL!!!
