First Family Movie Theatre Trip!

On Sunday of this week we watched Toy Story at home together on the couch. Then last night we watched Toy Story 2. This afternoon we all went to the theatre and watched Toy Story 3 together! It was Hannah and Leah's first trip to the movies! They did great! Hannah sat through the whole thing, eating popcorn, candy and cheerios the first hour! Leah lasted an hour too without fuss...then she wanted to get down and walk a little bit. But she lasted and never cried or anything. We definitely made the right choice to take them to see it. That was so much fun! An experience we will always remember!

Beach time with the family!

Summer means spending time with family at the beach!

Leah finishes swim lessons!

Leah still doesn't want to kick while underwater so instead of continuing week after week trying to encourage a kick or two...our instructor decided to finish Leah's swim lessons with the survival float. Leah did awesome! She goes face first in the water and bounces into a float like a buoy! Our instructor tried different ways that she would drop in the water and she bounced up to the air every time! It's great to know she's skilled and safe in this area!

Swim, Float, Swim technique

Hannah has learned how to swim underwater and how to float. This technique is called the swim/float/swim because it teaches kids when they need air and a break from swimming. It also shows them how to be face up when in the water and return to swimming when ready.

Hannah is swimming & doesn't cry when she gets her eyes wet anymore!

Jon got in the pool today with our Infant Swim Rescue instructor to learn "hand targets" for Hannah to swim to. Hannah wants to swim every day now but our instructor only wants us to do it a little bit with her so we don't confuse her in any way. Hannah is also learning how to float! She may be done with her lessons in 2 more weeks!

Leah is floating!

Leah is doing great with floating! Watch this video (you don't need the volume on high as my voice is loud already!) We are so proud of Leah for learning this skill in less than a week!

MOMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is just how many times I heard the word "Mommy" in just 30 seconds today! Now can you imagine how many times I hear it throughout the day???

Can you count how many times the word Mommy is in this video? I can't, it just all blends together. But I'm so grateful! I love my girls! They are really great! We are so blessed!
