We've seen 3am two too many times this week. Hannah has woken up at 3am both yesterday morning and this morning. Yesterday morning we both went in there. She wanted to go to the potty so Renee took her. Then after that she couldn't fall back asleep and wanted Renee to lay down in her room. So after an hour Renee had to leave even though Hannah still hadn't fallen back asleep yet. Needless to say we were all tired yesterday.
This morning Jon went in when she started screaming at 3am. He took her to the bathroom as this is what she said, "I have to go potty one more time!" What we've noticed is that she's already going in her diaper which either makes her upset so she cries or she just doesn't know how to tell us that she already went. Either way she's really doing better about potty training but we just can't figure out if she gets upset or doesn't like that she went in her diaper. Luckily since Jon went in only this morning she went right back to sleep, and so did we.
Potty training certainly is challenging every day. There's funny and frustrating sides to it. But no matter what we are so proud of her as she's growing up to be such a wonderful little girl!

You have a lot of lessons to teach your little ones, but they have a few words of wisdom for you too...
- Stop freaking out about the mess! There's always time to clean0 but how often do we get to make mud pies?
- Love me, even when I'm naughty. I'll only be this age once.
- Be patient. I do everything for a reason, but I don't know enough words yet to give you an explanation.
- Let me do it. I know you can do it faster and better, but sometimes experience is the best teacher.
- Don't expect too much of me. I want to do what you ask and make you happy, but I'm still little.
- Keep your promises. It's all about trust. When I'm a teenager, you'll understand why it's so important.
- Don't try to reason with me when I'm having a tantrum. Trust me- I can't hear you over my own screaming.
- Don't keep asking me if I've been good. I'm not even sure what that means, but if I was bad I'd never admit it!
- Don't let me think that you're perfect. I feel a lot better knowing I'm not the only one who makes mistakes sometimes.
- Set limits. I can't actually eat a whole box of cookies- I just want to see if I'd get away with it.
